Bio:
Stephen took the traditional route to the position of Director of Photography - he served an apprenticeship in the Camera Dept. In 1992, he left his successful Architectural Photography practice in Philadelphia to pursue his film career in New York. A year later, Stephen was inducted into the Cinematographer's Guild, Local 600. He spent the next few years learning the craft of the Camera Dept., under the instruction of some of the industry's top Cinematographers - Tom Sigel, ASC; Chuck Minsky, ASC; Ken Kelsch, ASC; and Ellen Kuras, ASC.

Stephen's distinctive style began to take shape early on in his shooting career with wins at the Columbia University Graduate Film Festival - Milos Forman Award and a Best Independent Feature Award from PBS in 2000. A selection of his work includes the Showtime Network Feature "Shelter Island", New York 2nd Unit photography for Liongate's "Lord of War", "Funny Valentine" for Warner/Xenon Pictures, Torch Lake Entertainment's cult comedy "Stick It in Detroit" and the soon to be released "BuzzKill".
